Wildland firefighting planners and commanders evaluate TetraKO water enhancer.

St. Paul, Minn. (April 26, 2016) – EarthClean Corporation of St. Paul, Minnesota, presented the benefits of its plant-based TetraKO XL-P water enhancer at a conference representing members of the Minnesota Incident Command System (MNICS) and Great Lakes Forest Fire Compact (GLFFC) held in Duluth, Minnesota on March 15th and 16th. The conference brought together wildfire professionals from the Great Lakes area and the federal and Canadian provinces of Ontario and Manitoba to plan, share information and evaluate a wide range of water additive products and delivery systems.

“We were very grateful for the opportunity to present the capabilities of our second generation TetraKO water enhancer to such an important group of wildfire professionals,” said James R. Grabek, EarthClean Corporation President. “MNCIS and GLFFC are dedicated to protecting the forest resources of Minnesota, and the states and provinces surrounding the Great Lakes. We believe our Minnesota-based, game-changing firefighting water enhancer can play an important role.”

TetraKO XL-P enhances the performance and safety of firefighting operations. The starch chemistry actually absorbs more heat from the fire than plain water or other water plus additive combinations. It is actually ten times more effective than plain water alone. Its shear thinning properties allow it to be sprayed from safer distances and with higher flow rates than other water additives.

“The product is certified “ready biodegradable” by an accredited, independent research lab. It is non-toxic and non-corrosive and does not contain compounds that are harmful to fish, wildlife and sensitive watersheds. These properties are critical advantages when fighting wildfires surrounding sensitive ecological resources such as lakes, streams and marshlands,” said Grabek. “We received excellent feedback from both the MNICS and GLFFC and we are committed to meeting their needs”

TetraKO XL-P granulate is entering the final stages of its Qualified Products List (QPL) approval process; approval is expected this summer. (QPL identifies products that have been tested and approved for use by the U. S. Forest Service.)

TetraKO XL-P granulate easily mixes with water and can be deployed through a wide range of existing firefighting equipment, including backpack sprayers, skid units, utility vehicles (UTVs), helicopters and Fire Boss aircraft. The biodegradable mixed solution provides unmatched Class-A firefighting knockdown power and fire management performance.
